This Story below is a brilliant juxtaposition of characters whose paths cross, if only briefly, which is stunning . Okay ? What`s the purpose that i am posting this strory here..

Well..Please spend some time in understanding this post how much ever you can…bcoz  this will give the reader sufficient energy and adequate boost to do a sophisticated analysis of this movie – “Dasavatharam” . I am not bothered about the 10 characters or the kamal hasan`s talent all that.

But the script and theme of the story is truly great and truly my favorite of all time, The Brilliant and best of all story scripts that I have ever come across –  the relationship and correlation of all happenings in life that are unimaginable things because of our ignorance. Making a story in this theme itself is a great task .

The central theme of this story being ..The Butterfly effect and the Chaos theory. Confused ? okay..just read ahead this story here ..and i`ll soon come up the Dasavatharam`s complete review facts throughout and come here back..

Here goes a story for the readers to read and analyse…

A mentally demented person wrote this once long back

1975 Jan 1

It is about five in the morning. Father (I am not bothering with names) woke up with a start. Many years had passed since he had founded the orphanage.

He had named it “X-Orphanage”, a rather funny name. But looking back, everything about his life seemed funny now. Hearing some noise outside, Father decided to have a look.

A child lay there in front of the orphanage. It was a girl. Seeing her abandoned like this in the cold morning, Father felt a sense of anger for the merciless being who had thrown her away like this. He took her in his arms. He would raise her like his own child.

17 Years Later

The girl has grown up now. She is now staying in a hostel. She meets a man and falls in love with him. She gets pregnant. The man disappears.

She is thrown out of the Hostel.

Father comes and takes her back to the orphanage. She gives birth to a girl but the baby is mysteriously stolen. Unable to bear all this, the Father commits suicide.

Due to some problems concerning the delivery, the girl went to see a Doctor. The doctor having examined her, said with a sad expression on his face, “Adrenalo Sytosis, a serious case of hormone imbalance”. An operation was performed in which the doctor had to change the sex of the patient.

The girl was now transformed to a man.

The man was very depressed because he had lost his child, the father had committed suicide, his lover had betrayed him, and he had to change sex and so on. He eventually took to drinking.

One day he saw that a new bar had opened in his locality. The name of the bar was ‘Sangeetha Bar’. He went inside. There he saw a bearded man.

The bearded man told him that he had a Time Machine and that he could take it. He accepted the gift from the bearded man. He decided to go to the past (to the year 1992) and started the Time Machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1992

The man arrives with the Time Machine in the year 1992.There he meets a girl (the same girl who has now become the man) and falls in love with her.

The girl gets pregnant. The man, unwilling to marry her, leaves the town. He goes to another city, earns some money and comes backs to the city where the girl lives. He wants to conceal his identity, so he has grown a beard.

He starts a bar named ‘Sangeetha Bar’. When he was sitting in the bar, a man comes (the same man who was earlier the girl). He gives the Time machine to the man. The man starts the Time Machine and goes to the past.

Suddenly a man wearing a mask comes to the bar. He points a gun at the bearded man .He says that he has a Time Machine and he will take the bearded man to the past. Taking the bearded man with him, the masked man starts the Time Machine.

When they reach the past, the masked man gives the Time Machine to the bearded man and runs away. The bearded man finds himself in front of X-Orphanage. He goes inside and finds a woman (the same woman who later becomes the man) lying there with her new born baby. It is a girl. He takes the girl and starts the Time Machine to go to the past (to the year 1975).

1975 Jan 1

The bearded man arrives with the girl. He leaves her in front of X-Orphanage. He joins a college, studies hard and becomes a doctor. One day a woman was brought to the hospital. He examines her and finds that it is a serious case of ‘Adrenalo Sytosis’. He performs an operation in which he changes her sex. He then starts the Time Machine and goes to the past.

He arrives at a time of great famine and suffering Seeing all this, he decides to become a priest and to serve the people. He starts an orphanage and names it ‘X-Orphanage’.

One day (1975 Jan 1), he finds a girl lying in front of the orphanage. He takes her and brings her up like his own child.

One day he hears that the girl is pregnant and is thrown out of the hostel. He brings her back to X-Orphanage. She gives birth to a girl.

The Father wants to go to the future. He wears a mask, takes a gun and starts the Time Machine. He reaches in front of ‘Sangeetha Bar’. He goes inside and forces the bearded man to travel along with him to the past.

Reaching the past, he feels guilty about forcing the bearded man to come with him. He gives the Time Machine to the bearded man and runs away.

When he returns, he hears the sad news that the baby is stolen. Unable to bear the sorrow, he commits suicide.

Last week was very special for me.

The best part was that – it was not ‘Special’ made by luck – but it was a pakka pre-planned travel and experiencing it in reality, made it special.

This post is all about sharing my experience about that travel – a visit along with 10 of our organization`s ‘Team Everest Trust’ members to a place called “Chinnalapatti”, an interior village near Dindigul. Yes! Dindigul – my own birthplace! A trip from Chennai to my own hometown where I had my school education. The agenda was to distribute School uniforms to all the school children @ Thilagam primary school , a free school operating for more than 50 years in this village. Unlike my previous two visits as a part of CSR wherein I got IN by mere luck, this was the first time ever that I myself nominated me for a good social cause.

Kartheeban – is a very young associate from my organization who primarily takes care of a team called EVEREST an independent charity wing in our organization having around 1800 employees (especially more of Entry level freshers) for doing social service. He organizes weekend visits to orphanages, schools etc and day by day the team is growing in size in a very large number and their motto is to identify remote places of the state and bring in Educational awareness throughout.

About a month back, I was sitting working in front of my system and I received a forward mail regarding a visit planned by this team Everest for a village “Chinnalapati” , which is in the interiors of Dindigul district. And Kartheeban, the organizer had called for about 10 volunteers for the visit.

Dindigul district? OMG . That’s my town and how cannot I remain without nominating for it. Immediately on seeing the mail, I was nominating but as usual my name was near  14th in the list of people who nominated and only 10 of the volunteers were required. I was little bit skeptical whether luck will favor me this time too. But however You know, When something really need to happen for you, the entire universe conspires in helping you achieve it. Yes. Kartheeban himself called me over phone and asked “Hi Suriya Narayanan, are you from Dindigul?’ “Yes”, I replied. “For our June 21st visit to Dindigul, can you join with us and help us arranging for the travel from Chennai and if any other help required we will let you know”..of course a great opportunity for me to learn things. And when I tried to look for the train availability online, almost all the trains were booked . However there were 1 or 2 trains left out with limited number of seats and I dint have my Credit card also to book immediately. Sh!t. Should all this happen only when the chance knocks my door? And I immediately called my appa and gave the names of the people and he booked the tickets in Dindigul and sent it by post to me to Chennai. So somehow all the travel plans were made pakka last month itself and we all were waiting for the date June 21st to arrive.

June 20th Friday evening 6 PM – Chennai central – Nagercoil express:

A team of 10 – Kartheeban(the organizer), Sadhanai(an upcoming Tamil patron), Vigneswar(an upcoming poet), Prasanna(my type :-; ), Satya(an upcoming politician), Madhumathi(an upcoming speaker), Aarthy(BPO specialist), Parvathy Devi(an upcoming speaker), Manikanta(writer), Jaysh(Singer cum dancer) and Myself. We got introduced with each other and exchanged talks till late night. To start with, I had a personal Interview session for about an hour with Kartheeban and got many useful insights from him. Following that , there was a group discussion with many inspiring speeches, incidents , memories etc and the this was going on till 12 PM midnight. And 12 PM was the birthday for Sadhanai and we had a party for her and she had a virtual cake cutting ceremony.

June 21st Saturday morning – 10 AM – Thilagam School – Chinnalapatti:

As I arrived the school some 20 min early than others, the school headmaster and teacher offered me a chair and started interviewing  me for some half an hour.. (Interview – Censored).

Within minutes the other members joined and the school management had arranged for uniforms distribution function and the function continued for about 3 hours. The function agenda were : Speeches by HM, teachers, Kartheeban and Sadhanai; Uniform distribution; A song and dance from Jaysh ;Vote of Thanks from Shobana (one of the school girl doing her class 5th).

I had to leave early from the school, as we had a plan to go to Dasavatharam movie the same day evening and so I left the place for booking tickets. As I started walking, the little girl Shobana who read the vote of thanks was also coming with me to give me company till bus stand.  I was really surprised How such small kids are able to understand us. Actually I was walking alone from the school to the village bus stand and she called me and came running towards me. She asked me where I am going. And when I replied that I am going to bus stand, she said she will give me company till I reach there. Even after me insisting that was not needed and I can go alone, she was not ready. She came walking all the way there till bus stand, invited me to her home for a lunch , thanked our team for the uniforms, asked me which school to join for class 6th  whether to continue in the same village or should go to dindigul stay in hostel and study, what she needs to do if she needs to become an engineer etc etc. All these I did not initiate , she herself raised all these questions to me and I shared my views with her and Thanked her finally for giving me company until the local bus to dindigul arrived.

Finally The day had a highlight when all the 10 members arrived my small home in the evening – had snacks – and we all went for the “Dasavatharam” movie.

After the movie the day ended with a Dinner @ balaji bhavan. J

Young Man : What ? Return the stick to whom?

Jackie Chan : THE MONKEY KING..!!!!…

The Monkey King

~Born of a stone

On the mountain of fruits and flowers (MK`s adi no.1 here..)

But his weapony there (MK`s adi no.2 & 3..)

His teeth become like a fire (MK`s adi no. 4 & 5..)

His stick fighting like a magic (MK`s adi no.6)

He defined the order of the land (MK`s adi no.7)

But

The Jade army could not defeat him

(MK`s adi no.8,9,10,11,12…)

(MK`s adi adi adi adi…..)

The monkey king crushed every soldier ..

With his magical stick he is unbeatable

Well with his disobedience he Travelled

To The Forbidden Kingdom of Jade emperor

To the Five elements mountain

Land of the immortals..

Once every 500 years

The Jade emperor hosts the heavenly gathering

It is here the heavenly ministers

Gather to celebrate the longevity

And drink the Elixir of immortality

Once if this heavenly elixir drunk

Will give everlasting life

Free from mortal sufferings and desires

In to the heavenly gathering of heavenly ministers

The Monkey King crashed

Uninvited !

The jade emperor was fascinated by the Monkey king

But the Jade warlord was not amused.

The Jade war lord , the army guide demanded

And the Monkey king bowed down to it

(in his own naughty style)

And said “Okieeee…??”

Soldiers come to stop him….(adi no.13,14,15,16..)

The jade emperor felt the Monkey king is just only bit unrefined.

That’s all !!!

The emperor asked the war lord

To give as a Naughty monkey title and cast him away.

Satisfied with the heavenly drink in the gathering

The jade emperor left the place

To begin his 500 years meditation

Leaving the Jade war load in-charge of heaven

But rather than obeying the words of Jade emperor command

The Jade war lord challenged the Money king for a fight,

AND SO,

High above the five elements mountain of fruits and flowers

THE BATTLE OF IMMORTALITY WAS FOUGHT..

Here it goes….

Unable to defeat The Monkey king

The war lord replied The Monkey king..

“Without your weapon you are nothing but a lonely hermit

No more weapons

No more stick magic

FIST against the FIST ?”

The Monkey King was too trusting

And believed war lord`s words

Lying down his magic stick

As he kept down the stick

The warlord played a trick

And cast the stick far away.

And made The Monkey king into a STONE.

And Said,

MARTIAL ART IS BASED ON DECEPTION , MY FRIEND..

Being immortal The Money king could not be killed

Only made as a Stone

At that moment a secret prophecy was written that…

A researcher from west will come one day

And restore the stick

And free The Monkey king

To Life.

So how is he freed ?

Watch THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM..

Desperately i want to write in my style ..my own review for this movie ‘The Forbidden Kingdom’ which i had seen y`day and simply liked it very much. But :-( . Work is getting hectic for me and Not finding enough time to write it.

Typical My type movie…and especially though only limited characters appear in the whole movie,  i liked almost all the characters’ role and performance…especially the Jetli`s Monkey King character(My favvorrite), the immortal shop keeper jackie chan`s old man character, jackie`s the drunken master character , jetli`s monk character, the villain lady fighting for elixir of life(she is rrrReally pretty !!! ) and the young man who fights for the holy weapon and the sparrow lady…excellent. The Theme of the movie even was a typical my type…

Shall post a separate review if i get time … :-)

I Love The Monkey King !

With me slowly getting quite a few requests from my friends, colleagues, relatives etc for making some sketches with some of their photo, i am gradually curiosly getting into this.

In that way, This weekend`s sketch attempt – - a request from my paati-  Mr.D.V.KrishnaIyer- My kollu thatha (My paternal Great grand father), really ! This is probably the only photo of him, that had been lying with my dad for years and the original photo copy itself was a photo of a sketch of his. So this is again a re-sketch attempt with slightly enhanced shading effects..

And coming to the Some interesting noteworthy points about this person..

1) He had been a teacher and lawyer in his profession and great saint RamanaMaharishi before he became swamiji had been his old class student during his early school days when D.V.KrishnaIyer was a teacher in Municipal School, DIndigul

2) Mr.D.VKrishnaIyer had once visited RamanaMaharishi after he became a saint and it seems Ramanar did not forget him greeted his old guru with a high respect.

3)Last but not least, a very interesting one..There lies a rockfort in dindigul built during tipu sultan period..Once a British person was relaxing himself there in the fort and a snake had come over there near him. This person Mr.D.V.KrishnaIyer who was there accidentally started shouting at him in English and gave him a caution. That time both of them had exchanged talks and the britisher was very much impressed with his english communication..and had offered him a manager role in “Spencer`s cigar company” in dinidigul…The famous dindigul tobacco cigars(suruttu) from this company gets exported for Winston Churchill`s personal use.

Seri..:Like you these tales are commnicated to me through my paati and dad…and like the readers here i am also not sure to what extent to believe all this. Anyways just reflected them here.

Here is his My sketch.

Sometimes My old friend…Rahul Kumar Tewari..ends up writing extremely good imaginative dialogue between him and myself.

Here is one – with a very good theme :

Human relationship gets originated with the nature of human instincts during the beginning of the relationship… If we know the right instinct and start with that point.. we can always have a good relationship with anyone…

You don`t get anything ?

Check out. HERE .

This is what is something which i was trying to convey to everyone around but never got proper words to communicate it through..i got to read this in the net and exactly and precisely this the message i was looking for that everyone in the world must read and spend some time seriously to think about…

After all Human`s achievements ..i still feel something is going wrong terribly..

**************************

Isn’t it amazing that George Carlin – comedian of the 70’s and 80’s – could write something so very eloquent…and so very appropriate?

     A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.

Remember, to say, “I love you” to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

                                ………..  George Carlin
