SHIVA’S COSMIC DANCE AT CERN

“The Wave Structure of Matter Explains the Atomic Structure of Matter. The ‘Particle’ as the Wave-Center of a Spherical Standing Wave in Space” explains the cosmic dance of Nataraja.”

“Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter,” and that “For the modern physicists, then, Shiva’s dance is the dance of subatomic matter.” -Fritjof Capra in The Tao of Physics,

1975

Shiva’s Cosmic Dance at CERN: On June 18, 2004, an unusual new landmark was unveiled at CERN, the European Center for Research in Particle Physics in Geneva — a 2m tall statue of the Indian deity Shiva Nataraja, the Lord of Dance. The statue, symbolizing Shiva’s cosmic dance of creation and destruction, was given to CERN by the Indian government to celebrate the research center’s long association with

India. In choosing the image of Shiva Nataraja, the Indian government acknowledged the profound significance of the metaphor of Shiva’s dance for the cosmic dance of subatomic  particles, which is observed and analyzed by CERN’s physicists. The parallel between Shiva’s dance and the dance of subatomic particles was first discussed by Fritjof Capra in an article titled “The Dance of Shiva: The Hindu

View of Matter in the Light of Modern Physics,” published in Main Currents in Modern Thought in 1972. Shiva’s cosmic dance then became a central metaphor in Capra’s international bestseller The Tao of Physics, first published in 1975 and still in print with over 40 editions and still going strong..

A special plaque next to the Shiva statue at CERN explains the significance of the metaphor of Shiva’s cosmic dance with several quotations from The Tao of Physics. Here is the text of the plaque:

Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy, seeing beyond the unsurpassed rhythm, beauty, power and grace of the Nataraja, once wrote of it “It is the clearest image of the activity of God which any art or religion can boast of.”

More recently, Fritjof Capra explained that “Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter,” and “for the modern physicists, then, Shiva’s dance is the dance of subatomic matter.”

It is indeed as Capra concluded: “Hundreds of years ago, Indian artists created visual images of dancing Shiva’s in a beautiful series of bronzes. In our time, physicists have used the most advanced technology to portray the patterns of the cosmic dance. The metaphor of the cosmic dance thus unifies ancient mythology, religious art and modern physics.”

Fritjof Capra explained that “Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter,” and that “For the modern physicists, then, Shiva’s dance is the dance of subatomic matter.”

I have a copy of “Tao of Physics” written by Fritjof Capra which i bought when I was about 18 years old in 1976.This was an expensive book by any standard at that time and for a student to get one in those days was a difficult venture. Buying it was one thing, and to see Yoga and Hindu Philosophy getting a Scientific Interpretation, in leading research laboratories, in the west made it even more attractive. It was a thrilling experience to practice yoga, and to compare Yoga Philosophy with Physics with my friend

Anton was challenging. We discussed about mind and matter and Yoga. To this day this Tao Of Physics remains one of best books of its kind. Of course there were other books written by authors of “Dancing Wei Lui Masters”, and “Zen and the Art of Motor Cycle Repair” etc.

In his Introduction Capra had narrated his experience while gazing at the Pacific Ocean when his entire field of vision disappeared and replaced by cosmic consciousness, which he could identify and was later able to relate to Advaitha of Hindu Philosophy of gaining cosmic vision. The book carried the Nataraja’s photo on the cover, which became international hit and the particles of subatomic matter moving in a gas chamber and a photograph of traces of their movement superimposed on the image of Nataraja’ s. For the first time this made history for the philosophy of yoga and principles of quantum physics were merged into seamless realism.

“The Eastern mystics see the universe as an inseparable web, whose interconnections are dynamic and not static. The cosmic web is alive; it moves and grows and changes continually. Modern physics, too, has come to conceive of the universe as such a web of relations and, like Eastern mysticism, has recognized that this web is intrinsically dynamic. The dynamic aspect of matter arises in quantum theory as a consequence of the wave-nature of subatomic  particles, and is even more essential in relativity theory, where the unification of space and time implies that the being of matter cannot be separated from its activity. The properties of subatomic particles can therefore only be understood in a dynamic context; in terms of movement, interaction and transformation. ” Fritjof Capra “The Tao of Physics”.

Though his ideas were revolutionary. I never thought that nearly 30 years down the line I would be writing about him for a paper what I have learnt about him To understand the Hindu Concept of Cosmic Nataraja we have to understand the Hindu Concept of dance itself. When it comes to natya the greatest inimitable exponent, Balasaraswathy had stated that Bharatnatyam is nothing but “Natya yoga”. Bharat Natya originated with Tapas and Nataraja himself is the supreme teacher of Natya and codified by Bharatha Muni in his Natya  Sastra. Bharat Natya is the Supreme cultural Symbol of Perfection in dance form. When the most revered cultural symbol of Sikhs was threatened as happened some months ago

when the blue attire of their most revered Guru Govind Singh was copied by Dera Sacha Sauda founder Baba Ram Rahim , the entire sikh community of Punjab and Haryana were outraged . They came to streets, and the two states came to a stand still. it was a war like situation. This incident was an eye-opener, as to what the consequences will be if religious sacred religious symbols and traditions of one

section of the population are misappropriated illegitimately. I had sent this article to some friends for

their comments: Prof Chakrapani from Maryland, USA, “I am back in India…. The article on “Quantum physics and the dance of Nataraja” and the Shiva on CERN was a classic article. Many of us had been to CERN you have exposed our ignorance and indifference also by that article.

Whenever we hear the name ‘Golden Temple’, we tend to think of the beautiful Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar. There is another Golden Temple in South India – the great Nataraja temple at Chidambaram in Tamilnadu that is associated with the cosmic dance of Nataraja. These are sacred cultural and religious symbols of Bharat and of great importance and immense sacrifices have been made both Sikhs and Hindus respectively to save and protect their holy symbols and sacred places.

Definition Bharata Natyam (Noun): A Dance form from Southern India, usually performed by one Dancer, and based on Hindu mythology, in which the movements of the hands and arms have an elaborate and stylized meanings. Sanskrit Bharatanatya, Dance of Bharatha, reputed author of a famous

manual of drama and dance. (Encarta dictionary) What Nataraja Symbolizes? “Nataraja” is a manifestation of Shiva, assumed the Lord of Dance (Bharatanatyam) . The Koil (temple) of Saivaites and the Head quarters of dancers is the famous temple with the presence of Nataraja is in Chidambaram Tamilnadu, India, where the lord himself danced at the golden hall on the request of the sages Vyagrapaada and Pataanjali. (Incidentally whose Samadhis have been located in Thirupattur and renovated by my friend lawyer Chandramouli) .

What Nataraja signifies? His body represents the sky. His hands entreat the eight directions. His three eyes  symbolise the sun, moon and the eight directions. His smile acts as the distraction of evil. His hair embodies wisdom. His crescent moon shows enlightenment. His sacred thread indicates philosophy. His garments are the Vedas. His damaru is the creation of sound. His Abhayam (blessing hand literally without fear) Signifies protection. His varada is for liberation. His tiger skin acts to control anger. His anklets direct to a good path. His serpent controls  jealousy. The deer signifies compassion. The body of dwarf apasmara-purusha (the man of forgetfulness) who embodies indifference, ignorance and sloth.

Dance in India is a form of Spiritual practice, with strict austerities such as fasting, and meditation on Shiva and above all Guru Bhakthi, which is still widely prevalent. Shiva is the Supreme Yogi of the Gods, is the Lord of the dance. Here Dancing is not seen as an art in the western sense for one’s own enjoyment and pleasure, but the Dancer seeks to create oneness with the Lord of the Universe. The same thought to evoke the oneness with the Cosmos as Fritjof Capra Capra when he said in introduction to Tao of Physics. “He (Nataraja) brought out the parallels in our understanding of the Universe as a dynamic interconnected unity”. The word Brahman is derived from the Sanskrit root brih – to grow- and thus suggests a reality, which is dynamic and alive. The Upanishads refer to Brahman as ‘this unformed, immortal, moving’, thus associating it with motion even though it transcends all forms. The Rig Veda uses another term to express the dynamic character of the universe, the term Rita. This word comes from the root ri – to move. In its phenomenal aspect, the cosmic One is thus intrinsically dynamic, and the apprehension of its dynamic nature is basic to all schools of Eastern mysticism. They all emphasize that the universe has to be grasped dynamically, as it moves, vibrates and dances. Hence Fritjof Capra, on the cover of his book had reproduced the photomontage of dancing Nataraja super imposed on subatomic particles photographed in a chamber.

(In the present day editions this has been replaced with a Yin and Yang symbol)

“Fritjof Capra is correct that matter can not be separated from motion; the error of modern physics has been in the conception of Motion as the motion of Matter (’subatomic particles’) rather than the wave motion of Space. Western Physics (with its ‘particles’ and ‘forces / fields’ in ‘Space Time’) has never correctly understood the Eastern worldview. It is also important to understand that the ancient Indian philosophers did actually know how the universe was a dynamic unity, what matter was, how the One

Thing / Brahman caused and connected the many things. Thus Eastern philosophical knowledge is ultimately founded on mysticism and intuition. Recent discoveries on the properties of Space and the Wave Structure of Matter (Wolff, Haselhurst) confirm that we can understand Reality and the interconnection of all things from a logical/scientific foundation.”

http://www.spaceandmotion.com/Philosophy-FritjofCapra.htm#CapraQuotes…

The One Thing / Brahman, (Space) has Properties (Wave- Medium) that give rise to the many things (Matter as the Spherical Wave Motions of Space) thus explaining the universe as a dynamic, interconnected unity. If that being the case, how can Semitic ideologies that sees difference between the Creator and the Created, man and god, and divides humanity into believers and non-believers, and that seek to split, divide and destroy, can ever appropriate

Just watched the video of the song only once…and now i Can`t stop humming it..!

Itz Creating waves.. and has set a high expectation ..lemme see how the movie is:

Damn !

Got to read this story of my old friend Rahul and i am moved to my old days.

I remember reading every line of this story sitting alone going to my office very early in the morning in my previous organisation 3 years back and still feeling the same way reading it once again.

One of the most bestest of all the most bestest stories that touched me.

Check it out HERE.

QUOTES OF RAHUL :

1. Well I am a complicated person. Till now even I am not able to understand myself. I am a person who lives on some basic terms and principles

2. Though I belong to a very modest background yet my ambitions are high and my instincts strong

3. I want to bring a positive change in the outlook of this world by taking up a work which can bring smiles to many faces.’

4. ‘Well, I want to be my own master.

5. Frankly speaking, joining IT was a big mistake.

6. IT was not my cup of tea. I don’t say it is a problem in IT. There are people who enjoy that work too. But I didn’t fit there

7. Dreams are rarely seen. I found out that there isn’t greatness in being a buffalo-with-a-dream in a large buffalo herd.

8. Time had come to revisit his foundations and realize his forsaken dreams. Time had come to ask himself the inevitable questions – “What do I want? How will I achieve it?” for which only he could find the answers.

9.  A person who has nothing to lose cannot be lost. A person who knows where he is heading cannot be lost. Well, it is possible that he can get out of his original track for a while but that doesn’t mean he is lost. Maximum a man can lose is his will to try again, to try one more time.

10. “I don’t know where I am going, but I know where I have been;
I don’t know what my vision is, but I know what I have seen…”

There are few lines that stays in my mind after reading some people`s blog even after so many days – and those people don`t know how much it has helped me to understand few things better ! Thanks to them.

Some of those lines that i happened to recall from other people`s blog this week and liked them a lot:

1) If after reaching a particular point in life, if one feels that their life can proceed in any direction and they dont get any hard feelings about it and if they are ready to travel in any direction that life takes them. .Then can we regard that the person has attained the least purpose of his life ?

- [ Read these lines from Rambler`s blog..}

- very very true and my favorite... Well written and i am impressed with this line as this makes sense for one to measure their own maturity level.

2) Never ever expect something different from someone … its all ordinary..

- [from one of the commenter (Vishnu) in aparna-a`s blog]

- How true ! I just had a huge expectation on a person without seeing the person for a long time and considered the person is very special and finally I ended up feeling after seeing that person as normal as everyone and has got nothing so different. No hard feelings meant ! Once when you go about in understanding a person very much and succeed with it then it all becomes so ordinary. Bitter truth.

3) A Man who has Nothing to lose cannot be lost

- [ these lines from rahul ki`s one of the old stories]

- How true ! I just love this line and somehow use it for myself atleast 10 times a week on many occassions and i miss the original story script of rahul. [ Rahul ki if you are reading this..and if you have that IT engineer going to a sugarcane field story - do send me man..]

{ this post to be continued…  }

This review below for the Dasavatharam movie is an incomplete one and if one understands the movie properly then each day he/she will be able to get microscopic details and funda inferred(mark this word) through this movie. Also I had tried to collect some special review & analysis facts from other sources as well , consolidated them and presenting them here along with my own thoughts:

This movie Dasavatharam – Directed by K.S.Ravikumar – Music by Himesh Reshamiya and the 10 lead roles played by Kamal hasan – is a normal entertainer for some group of people , could be a boring entertainer for some…and for some special group of people – i.e. for those who either strongly believe or disbelieve the existence of God/Super Natural Power , this movie gives for them a super feast…because the God / the Super Natural Power by itself plays an important role in this movie along with the 10 characters. And for those who believe in the existence of God , can understand that the God / SNP character appears throughout the movie giving only the hint that It appears. The sad part is that many , are not able to appreciate such minute things in this movie.

The movie highlights the happening of huge unimaginable things of life because of our ignorance – with a perfect right blend of eternal concepts like –
re-incarnation , omens , karma yoga, chaos theory and the butterfly effect. So before starting watching this movie, if one can atleast try to understand what these are, he /she will be able to appreciate the minute things of movie even. Otherwise the movie is just a commercial entertainer.

To explain the theme of the movie in one-or-two liners :
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And the fact is that this is true even for universal entities including the SNP that created this universe, and applicable for centuries throughout. This is the hint. A statue which gets immersed into the ocean in 12th century(action) is responsible for creating Tsunami in 21st century(re-action). And re-action occurs in such a way that equation gets exactly balanced. The reverse corollary is Basically, small perturbations results in amplifications which completely destroys the original nature of the system and makes prediction impossible.
i.e.

Action:
Kamal and Asin who gets separated in 12th century (characters)
Fighting for existence of Perumal(vainavites)
Because of statue getting immersed(event)
=
Re-action:
Kamal and asin(re-incarnated carrying karmic records) getting re-united in 21st century(characters)
Justifying the victory of perumal
Because of Tsunami (event)

Tsunami was created on 26th December 2004 out of tremor that started in Indonesian ocean…that’s just one part everyone knows. But what created the tremor ? if one says the remnants of deep earth inside the ocean created the tremor, then the next question will be , what created those remnants ? A cause and effect analysis or a Why-Why analysis and a reverse engineering will finally end up somewhere in the layers above the earth, which will enlighten one that basically the ones that got buried centuries back because of some events are emanating in this century to balance some universal equations on the previous event.. If one gets this basic thought and a basic question within him / herself like – Why should an unexpected tsunami arise all of a sudden and kill 30000 people. Is that a destined event ? . This movie captures one such possibility for the event, saying like “tsunami was created by a SNP that occurred for a good cause. If it would not have come at that point may be the happenings on earth would have been worse”…

The catalyst for the above equation being the re-incarnation and the karmic records getting translated from century to another century. And the characters created in the intermediate karmic journey(designed by a controller/ SNP).The basic of any equation is that there needs to a ‘control system’ / controller. That SNP/ Govindaraja Perumal which has been portrayed as the Controller in this movie is the question for all – That where is it and how is it ? From where does that GRPerumal control all these events?

“World history is an art of chain of events balancing some equations.”
Ulaga nigazhvugalin koarvai dhan ulaga sarithiram..

For example : If a butterfly flaps its wings in Africa,it could result in a cyclone in USA.(Mark the word COULD). The fact is that butterfly’s wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado or delay, accelerate or even prevent the occurrence of a tornado in a certain location..

The movie starts when the Ranganathar / Govindaraja Perumal idol was thrown out of the sea causing the tsunami at the end of the movie which highlights the cyclic nature of life. Actually the Nambi character(Kamal) highlights both Chaos and Karma.

That is the brilliance of this film, there is so much to see and understand.

But How?
For that one must have a minimum understanding of “CHAOS THEORY” and “BUTTERFLY EFFECT”.
(Which kamal also explains during the start of the movie)

What are they ?

To just brief about these Concepts,
(PS : Explanations below sourced from review gathered from different experts. Presenting them below)
An expert basically explains them as below :

Q: What is Chaotic System ?
A: Basically a chaotic system is one wherein long term predictions are impossible.Like for example,if I push a car, I know that it is going to move and it will continue to do so if I go on pushing it on and on.However,in a chaotic system, this situation cannot be predicted over a long period of time.
Weather for example is a chaotic system. No matter how good your instruments are,you simply cannot predict the weather with 100% accuracy over a long term basis and forecast it.

Q: What is the Butterfly Effect ?
A: It is the most important component of a chaotic system.Basically, small perturbations results in amplifications which completely destroys the original nature of the system and makes prediction impossible.
If a butterfly flaps its wings in Africa,it could result in a cyclone in USA.(Mark the word COULD).

(A highly dumbed down explanation of the butterfly effect is in the film Anniyan, where Vikram’s sister dies because a liquor shop owner sells liquor on a dry day.)

Now coming back to the butterfly effect..

If a butterfly flaps its wings in Africa,it could result in a cyclone in USA.(Mark the word COULD).

A butterfly COULD cause a hurricane? yes..That’s a huge probability. Or Would be a negligible probability. NOT a huge one. if that were true, we would have cyclones on an hourly basis as butterflies keep flitting all over Africa and u don’t have so many cyclones to account for a HUGE probability.
Chaos, relativity and quantum mechanics are so damn weird that I will think I am talking metaphysics and pseudoscience.

Like for example, according to quantum mechanics, there is a finite probability that you will fall right through a solid chair. And it is a PROBABILITY.
Even 10 to the power -26 is finite :-) .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_effect

In the above links u can see that butterfly’s wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado or delay, accelerate or even prevent the occurrence of a tornado in a certain location..

Okay. Now where is the connection of all these concepts in DASAVATHARAM?

IF after understanding the above concepts , one watches the movie, they`ll be able to appreciate some minute things in the whole movie which are summarized as below:

How does Dasa incorporate it ?

A: In essence,Dasa talks about 8 characters who are inconsequential as such, but are integrated in a larger picture.

• The 1st scene is perfectly connected to the climax. The 1st scene where Siva-ites and vainavites fight for establishing the Govindaraja Perumal Statue – is perfectly connected to the climax, remember what Kamal says in the 1st scene, that he will not say “Om Nama Shivaya”(Panchacharam) , but Asin tells him to chant it , but still Kamal refuses , ( in this kamal in his story tries to tell that ) and only chants ‘Om Namo narayananayaa”(Astacharam), Nambi(Kamal) believes in his God more than anything, but Asin feels “It’s ok if we change the God or chant other God’s name, its life that’s most important.”

• Now if we see the climax it’s JUST OPPOSITE(Re-action funda again)…. Kamal doesn’t believe in God much and values lives of people the most…. but Asin deeply believes in god and that too this dialogue comes when both Asin and Kamal’s hand is on the God(Justifying Perumal`s presence after so many 100 years) which came from the sea , and it also means that they are getting united from the place they departed hundreds of years back ( Kamal and Asin).

The connection between the 1st scene and the climax in the movie shows the generation circle combined with supernatural powers of GOD and destiny…..!!!

• If you watch it closely you can also find another actor who has done double action other than Asin and Kamal.
Asin’s father Sahasranamam [12th Century], in the beginning he says to Nambi “Panchatchira manthirathai sollitu vaango mappillai” and at the End [After tsunami] he says “Avar enna jathiyo inga vaanga paati “.
That’s Another Eg. of Chaos Theory and circle of life..

• Another explanation(and this is slightly farfetched— as explained earlier) is that Govindh the scientist is in fact the reincarnation of Nambi. As Nambi he couldn’t protect God and died in the name of God. In order to fulfill his Karma, he is reincarnated as Govind Ramasamy who ultimately saves the world from destruction. The idol in the end somewhat hints to this theory; his story began with the idol and it ends with the idol.
As far as the connection with Nambi character and events in 12th Century goes…
The connection is based on the “Butterfly effect “.

• When Govind and Andal goes to bury the idol in the sands, Andal will stumble on a particular stone couple of times…This is the same stone as the one from 12th Century when Kothai(Asin) rips her Thaali and flings it at Kulothunga Chozan…it will end up hanging on the stone. So, the implied message here is Andal is Kothai reborn in the 21s century.
During the encounter with Santhana Bharathi in the sand quarry, it is repeat of the incident from 12th century. Instead of Kulothunga Chozhan, it is the Sand Mafia which tries to inflict damage on the land.

• The idol that is drowned in the sea along with Rangarajan in 12th century by Chozha king results in a fault being developed at the bottom of the ocean and creates tremors more than 800 years later. These tremors result in the Tsunami. This again is a classic case of Butterfly Effect wherein a seemingly inconsequential event (the drowning of the idol) saves Tamil Nadu from being wiped out off the face of the earth.

• Actually kamal has not left anything for our imagination… Explanation struck the right chord, Kamal does tell to Asin in a dialogue that idol which gets sunken back then gets struck between the tectonic plates under the sea and causes tsunami…
Many people missed this dialogue i guess. Kamal’s accent was so very perfect Tamil, that many people missed it…. Being perfect Is a Problem by Itself !!!

• Although the explanation is a least possible theory, that is what “Chaos Theory” And “Butterfly Effect” are all about.

Its not just the statue that caused the tsunami, but it just started a large chain of effects which kept multiplying exponentially and finally lead to it after 800 years….!!
Why just say this concept is perfectly illogical… But it is possible!!!

• Mallika sherawat and Fletcher are to be interpreted as re-incarnated versions of shiva-ites which is clearly evident when mallika sherawat tries to stop the lorry coming on the road by waving her hands. The pose with which she shows her hands to stop the lorry will be soon shown in the very next clip as an Shiva idol sketched in the back of the lorry. Similarly the lorry in which kamal and Asin tries to escape will carry the Perumal Namam sketched on it.

• The story line is that things going wrong are made to be right which involves many people and countries knowingly or unknowingly.

Knowingly:
-Bush, Manmohan Singh, Govindh, Fletcher, Balaram Naidu, Mallika Sherawath.

Unknowingly:
- Nambi’s drowning to death with the heavy statue causes simple changes to the seabed that causes a devastating tsunami 800 years later [Acc. to Chaos theory it is possible.... although it is least probable... It is possible.. so nothing TOTALLY WRONG About it ]
- Poovaragan (actually saved kamal unknowingly—when poovaragan enters kamal and asin were caught by those manal kollayargal. There poovaragan distracts the gang helping kamal to escape),
- Avatar Singh(gave way to Fletcher to escape in the airport unknowingly),
- Japanese(saved Govindh from fletcher,he knows he is saving but he doesn’t know about the play and was there only for revenge),
- Kallifulla and family(saved Govindh unknowingly)……..
- Vincent Poovaragan is a dalit leader of a lower caste( the so called ) but saved an Iyengar Girl ……and at the end becomes the son of the Iyengar Paati
- If Shinghen(the martial artist) Narahashi’s sister was not killed, Fletcher could have killed Govindh and used the virus for wrong purpose..

This is based on Chaos Theory..!!!!!
• Without Shinghen (the martial artist from Japan), Govind the scientist would be dead.

• Without the tsunami, the world would have been destroyed.

• Even Krishnaveni Patti plays a very important role.If she had not put the vial in the idol, maybe Govind the scientist would have recovered it then and there and a powerful weapon would have been unleashed. The very fact that it went into the idol meant that it was being accelerated to its destiny.

• Without Kaifulla Khan, Govind would have never escaped;the list simply goes on.
Be it a coincidence, or He possibly had that in mind as an inspiration, the following very interesting facts also amuses me !!!

One thing we had noticed is why people didn’t get the real subtext and reason for the various roles and hence the title.
If you knew the real Dasavatharam of Lord Vishnu and their characters you can appreciate the script more.
Let me explain, starting with the best adapted role:

1. Krishna avatar – Vincent Poovaraghavan
Lord krishna is actually a dalit, he is dark-skinned [shyamalam]. He saved draupadi when she was being violated and he was the actual diplomat in Mahabharata. Lord krishna dies of an arrow striking his lower leg. Now look at how Vincent was introduced.. he appears when asin is about to be molested and he saves her like draupadi. Vincent is the dalit diplomat, fights for land issue [soil issue to be exact] and dies from the metal rod striking his leg. Oh even five of vincent’s men are drugged at P. Vasu’s.. sounds familiar???

2. Balarama avatar – Balarama Naidu
This is an easy given. as the name suggests and the role personifies you can easily get it.

3. Mathsya avatar – Ranagaraja Nambi
Nambi is thrown into water in an act of trying to save lord from being thrown into sea, though vainly. what more clue do you want?

4. Varaha avatar – Krishnaveni paati
During the mukunda song, Krishnaveni paati does varaha avatar in the shadow puppetry. The frame freezes on it for a second. there is the clue. Moreover, in varaha avatar lord actually hides earth so as to protect life forms. Here too Krishnaveni hides the germs – life form inside the statue so as to protect.

5. Vamana avatar – Kalifulla khan
Remember in vamana avatar, lord Vishnu takes the vishvaroopa, that is the giant form! Hence the giant Kalifulla here symbolizes vamana avatar.

6. Parasurama avatar – Christian Fletcher
Parasurama is actually on an angry killing spree and killed 21 generations of the particular kshatriya vamsa. Hence the real KILLER… Guess what that’s what our Fletcher is! He comes around with the gun [modern upgrade for axe] and kills everyone around. I have to check if he kills 21 people though. :-D

7. Narasimha avatar – Shinghen Narahashi’s
first of all the name itself is a play on the words singam [means lion in Tamil] and Narasimha [the avatar being symbolized]. Lord Narasimha manifests himself to kill the bad guy and he also teaches prahaladha. In the movie, he shows up to kill the killer Fletcher! and is also a teacher.. Lord Narasimha had to kill the asura with bare hands and hence the martial arts exponent here.. get it?

8. Rama avatar – Avatar Singh
Lord Rama stands for the one man one woman maxim, kind of symbolizing true love.. Here Avatar portrays that spirit by saying that he loves his woman more than anything and wants to live for her.

9. Kalki avatar – Govindaraja Ramasamy
As you know, the hero in kaliyug can be none other than the Kalki avatar!!!

10. Koorma avatar – Bush
This is the most loose adaptation I couldn’t clearly comprehend. But if you look at the real Koorma avatar, the lord is the turtle/tortoise that helps in stirring the ksheera sagara and bringing out the amruth. This essentially creates war among the devas and asuras. Similarly today Bush facilitates war between you know whom… May be Kamal also indicates that this avatar is a bit dumb like the tortoise..

Perhaps this is the closest way .. any layman could lay his hands over chaos theory – butterfly effect !!

One can think like – Can a flap of a butterfly cause a tornado elsewhere ?! – is a bullshit.
But Theoretically yes !!

Science is not so complex .. but Nature and Life is .. !

Desperately i want to write in my style ..my own review for this movie ‘The Forbidden Kingdom’ which i had seen y`day and simply liked it very much. But :-( . Work is getting hectic for me and Not finding enough time to write it.

Typical My type movie…and especially though only limited characters appear in the whole movie,  i liked almost all the characters’ role and performance…especially the Jetli`s Monkey King character(My favvorrite), the immortal shop keeper jackie chan`s old man character, jackie`s the drunken master character , jetli`s monk character, the villain lady fighting for elixir of life(she is rrrReally pretty !!! ) and the young man who fights for the holy weapon and the sparrow lady…excellent. The Theme of the movie even was a typical my type…

Shall post a separate review if i get time … :-)

I Love The Monkey King !

Sometimes My old friend…Rahul Kumar Tewari..ends up writing extremely good imaginative dialogue between him and myself.

Here is one – with a very good theme :

Human relationship gets originated with the nature of human instincts during the beginning of the relationship… If we know the right instinct and start with that point.. we can always have a good relationship with anyone…

You don`t get anything ?

Check out. HERE .

This is what is something which i was trying to convey to everyone around but never got proper words to communicate it through..i got to read this in the net and exactly and precisely this the message i was looking for that everyone in the world must read and spend some time seriously to think about…

After all Human`s achievements ..i still feel something is going wrong terribly..

Isn’t it amazing that George Carlin – comedian of the 70’s and 80’s – could write something so very eloquent…and so very appropriate?

     A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.

Remember, to say, “I love you” to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
